We are excited about our new project CEPIA near Playa Conchal and the Guanacaste Province in Costa Rica. The Reeves Family who love the sport of soccer, delivered soccer jerseys and soccer balls to support two of the teams that are supported by CEPIA. You have to love the fact that Emma and Karly said playing soccer with these children was the highlight of their trip!!!
Today August 1st marks the departure of the Valentine Family and friends who will be traveling to Fiji! During their stay they and a few other families will be volunteering at the orphanage called Treasure House, located just outside Nadi Town. This orphanage was established in 2000 and is well loved by their community and foreign friends. There are a total of 24 children at Treasure House at the moment ranging in ages from a few months to 16 years.
Destination4Good wants to thank the team at FAV (Female Athlete Volunteers) who recently spent a Sunday afternoon putting together gift bags to support the Rose Charity Orphanage in Victoria Falls Zimbabwe. The members of FAV collected soccer jerseys and uniforms and made gift bags for the children at this home. Rose Charity supports over 70 children, many whom have been orphaned by AIDS,or who have AIDS themselves. One of the FAV members will be heading to Zimbabwe this summer to deliver these needed supplies. FAV is a San Diego based Teen Korps chapter and is comprised of female athletes who compete in Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball, Lacrosse, Cheer, Field Hockey and many other sports!
Way to go FAV!
The LeRose family just got back from Cabo San Lucas where they visited the Casa Hogar orphanage in San Jose del Cabo and delivered shoes, diapers, clothing and toys to the 19 children living at this home.
Last summer the LeRoses ventured to South Africa and donated over 200 soccer training balls to the Greater Commission United soccer academy in Cape Town South Africa and also brought needed supplies (dental supplies, personal hygiene products, etc.) for the 60 children supported by the Rose Charity Orphanage in Zimbabwe.
